  • Warranty Terms and Conditions

    As the manufacturer, Fritsch GmbH (“we/us”) – in addition to the buyer’s warranty claims against the seller, which remain unaffected – grants the buyer a free warranty for a period of two years from the date the buyer receives our confirmation email, in accordance with the following terms and conditions.
    1 Conditions under which the warranty is granted to the buyer
    1.1 The warranty is only granted to the buyer if a complete and correct online registration has been completed at
    https://www.fritsch-international.com/services/guarantee/ immediately after the buyer has received the device. We will send the buyer a confirmation email immediately upon successful online registration.
    1.2 The guarantee is not granted if:
    - repairs, alterations or modifications to the device have been carried out by persons or companies without the appropriate authorisation from us or our representatives
    - the purchaser has already used accessories and/or spare parts other than genuine FRITSCH parts
    - the device has not been used in a laboratory environment and/or has been used in continuous operation
    - the device type and/or serial number on the device has been altered, deleted, removed or rendered illegible in any other way
    2 Scope of the warranty
    2.1 During the warranty period, we shall, at our discretion, rectify free of charge any defects resulting from material and/or manufacturing faults in the device, either by repair or replacement.
    2.2 The warranty is valid in all countries where this FRITSCH device is sold by us as an authorised dealer. Customers can view the list of countries where we have authorised dealers selling the devices at www.fritsch.de.
    The following are not covered by the warranty:
    - Damage caused by normal wear and tear, in particular to wear parts such as: crushing plates, support walls, grinding bowls, grinding balls, sieve plates, brush strips, grinding sets, grinding disks, rotors, sieve rings, pin inserts, conversion kits, sieve inserts, bottom sieves, grinding inserts, cutting tools, sieve cassettes, sieves and measuring cell glasses;
    - Damage caused by external factors (lightning, water, fire, etc.);
    - Damage that has only a negligible effect on the value or usability of the equipment, such as superficial scratches;
    - Damage caused by improper handling, in particular the failure to use the device in accordance with the instructions for use/operating manual for its intended purpose;
    2.3 Transport, packaging and travel costs incurred as a result of the buyer sending the device to us are excluded from the warranty. Insofar as, following consultation with the buyer, one of our technicians is required to visit the buyer’s premises, the usual, reasonable and documented costs associated with this shall be borne by the buyer. The buyer’s statutory warranty claims against the seller remain unaffected. As the manufacturer, we decide where and how the warranty service is provided.
    2.4 Making a claim under the warranty does not extend the warranty period, nor does it trigger a new warranty period for the device.
    3 The buyer’s obligations to cooperate / Cost estimate / Defective parts in replacement deliveries
    3.1 When making a claim under the warranty, the buyer is obliged to send us the device in question, unless otherwise agreed. Furthermore, the buyer must describe the nature of the fault/complaint in detail and complete the 'Service Form: Questionnaire for Sending Devices or Parts to Technical Support': which can be viewed, downloaded and printed from the Technical Support Area of fritsch.de: www.fritsch-international.com/services/technical-support/. The form must be completed in full and correctly and sent by email to service@fritsch.de when making a warranty claim. We shall make the service form available to the buyer free of charge at any time upon request.
    3.2 Should the buyer fail to provide a description of the defect, we shall, for buyers who meet the conditions for the warranty under these warranty terms, remedy all apparent defects arising from faults covered by the warranty, in accordance with these warranty terms. For defects arising from faults not covered by the warranty, we will provide the
    buyer with a cost estimate; however, this is not binding on the buyer, and such repairs require an agreement with the buyer.
    3.3 Defective parts become our property upon replacement by us. The buyer’s statutory warranty claims against the seller remain unaffected.
